Sizzling jazz, hot swing & blues are the forte of this prolific songwriter. LaFever has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald & Billy Holiday, Maria Muldaur & Nina Simone. The one thing everyone seems to agree on is that Lulu is a natural born show off!
For the past eight years she has toured the colleges & universities, performing art centers & festivals, serving up her own special recipe for a good time.
In 1994 the Oregon Coast Arts Council gave this talented songwriter a grant to help make her first CD. Since then she has self produced four CD's. Her latest CD released May 2001, is self-titled "Lulu LaFever" and was produced in North Hollywood, CA with engineer Dennis Moody at Clear Lake Audio.
The name "Lulu LaFever" was the stage name of a friend's grandmother who toured the vaudeville circuit and has long ago gone to that big dance hall in the sky. Cindy Pearson decided that the name should live on, and so renamed her alter ego "Lulu LaFever" about a year ago.
From Alaska and everywhere in between, this performer has left her mark. Her performance will be one you won't soon forget.
