Geoff Kraus and Shawn Hanify from Seattle can best be described as an organic blend of gritty harmonies, acoustic and slide guitar and blues harp.
Kraus was house sound engineer 1993-1998 at Ballard's Tractor Tavern for such acts as John Hammond, Train, Cake, Vassar Clements, String Cheese Incident, Laura Love, Buckwhear Zydeco, Martin Hayes, Bill Frissel, Bad Livers, and Jimmie Dale Gilmore.
He's played with Albert Collin's - John Stefan, rockabilly legend Sleepy La Beef, Edie Brickell's New Bohemians' - John Bush & Kenny Witlow, Duffy Bishop's - Keith Lowe & Henry Cooper, and the Hank Williams Revue.
Each artist brings a bluesy-rock sound to the Breadline, with distinct, lyrical guitar styling that could be compared to Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughn.
