Karen (Harris) and Gil (Barouk) form a liaison between musical worlds. Karen is a native of San Francisco and transplant to Washington state. She moved to Paris and met Gil, who was born in Cairo, Egypt, and raised in Paris since he was eight.
Since their encounter at a concert in 1984 they have played various Paris venues - Karen with her warm, clear voice accompanied by rhythm guitar or keyboards and Gil with his velvety voice and playful playing of electric and acoustic guitars. Together they weave their skills to form a sound with that hints of Crosby, Stills and Nash, Dylan, Lennon and Gentle Giant.
Their tight vocal and guitar arrangements plus taste for detail are evident in their respective compositions that give equal treatment to personal experience and social commentary. A rendezvous
of pure musical pleasure.
