Lady Bianca brings her fabulous piano and earthy vocals (once described as having the fullness and richness of Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee) to Omak. She is fresh off a tour through Iowa, Nebraska and Missouri in October and November and more recently a trip to the New Orleans Jazz and Blues in December.

Rooted in the tradition of gospel, blues and rhythm-and-blues, singer/pianist/songwriter Lady Bianca has a voice that cuts straight to the soul of the listener.

Her own material takes on life's issues with insight and purpose. Lady Bianca has a style laced with humor and even a dash of country-and-western.

Along with her partner and co-producer, Stanley Lippitt, Lady Bianca created the "Mighty Oakland Sound". A sound that is indigenous to the Bay area. The mayor, and the city of Oakland recognizing her contribution to the arts, gave her the "key to the City" Award in 2002. The Oakland Blues Society awarded her "Best Dressed Female vocalist" and "Best R& B Female Vocalist of the year" 2002.

Lady Bianca learned the art of blues playing through listening, and playing piano with her father at a very young age.

"He was playing and singing the blues all the time but, he claimed it was gospel music," says Lady Bianca, who moved from the mid-west to California when she was four.

Her formal training was at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where, because of her unusual talent, she was awarded a four- year scholarship. It was at the conservatory that she studied music theory, composition, and received her operative vocal and piano training.

When she isn't touring or working the Bay area circuit, Lady Bianca teaches and works with up and coming blues artist in and around the Oakland Bay area.

Lady Bianca's 2002 CD release entitled "Rollin" on Rooster Records received a nomination for a Grammy in the Blues and R&B categories.

Her most recent CD is "All By Myself," released in August of 2003. Jeff Calvin of Blues Review wrote, "The Hilarious 'Outside Man' (The Records best cut) clinches Bianca's official Blues Badass Status."

Lady Bianca has appeared in numerous productions with some of the world's most influential and exciting artist including Bobby Bland, Etta James, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Lonnie Brooks, Van Morrison, the late Frank Zappa and many more.

Lady Bianca has, and still performs at many blues festivals and blues clubs across the United States.

She has been photographed for book publications "Black and White Blues" by Marc Norberg, " Really the Blues" by Stephen Green. She can be seen in the feature length documentary film "Blues Survivors" produced by Cork Marcheski.
