Holeshot Productions presents the first annual "Night of the Living Blues" starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 17.
The event features a full night of music, a silent auction and a raffle of a mountain bike. There will be door prizes of blues music CDs and T-shirts from artists appearing at this year's Kettle River Blues Festival slated for June 25th and 26th in Curlew.
Entertainment starts at 8 p.m. starting with host band Li'l Hummer Band. They will be followed by an all-star blues jam with artists from several local and regional bands including Shongo Bongo, The Blue Sky Junkies, Boom and others. The jam will be highlighted by one of the Northwest's most popular blues artists, Nicole Fournier.
The jam will be followed by a dance set from Flash Johnson and the Blues Cats featuring guitar wizard Mark Johnson.
"Night of the Living Blues" will focus attention on the growing blues scene in the area and offer memberships, tickets and information on the upcoming festival season. For any blues fan this is a must-attend event.
Cost is $10 at the door.
