Pat Coast and band invade the Breadline Cafe with hard-driven blues rock that's ready-made for dancing. This sizzling R&B dance band with five seriously fun lovin' musicians features sexy sax and trumpet that fit right into a winter evening's work-out program.
He's worked clubs in the greater Spokane area for a number of years, where he's backed by a band of top musicians with horns and keyboards. The group will leave you in a toe-tapping, finger-snapping state. (Information from November, 2003 BluesNotes by Greg Johnson).
Inland Empire Blues Awards named the group best blues band the last four years and Coast as best blues guitarist the last three years.
Coast, a northwest native, has been playing the blues for 33 years. He's toured six western states and three Canadian provinces. Early on, while living in Los Angeles and San Diego, he worked clubs and did session work.
He recorded his first CD in the early 1990s, "A Good Night For The Blues" with Café Blue. He's since recorded three more CDs, the latest released in January, 2003, entitled "Don't Touch My Guitar."
Coast is no stranger to blues festival, having played Winthrop Blues Festival Sunbanks Blues Festival, Apple Blossom Festival and American Music Festival in Spokane, amongst others.
He's appeared with Roy Rogers, George Benson, Lloyd Jones, Curtis Salgado, John Lee Hooker Jr., Fabulous Thunderbirds, and John Mayall.
