Paul Cowie, who is lead guitarist and musical director, brings 30 years of experience that included his own King Biscuit Blues Band in San Diego to the Breadline Cafe stage. He's shared the stage at one time or another with Elvin Bishop, Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Ray Charles, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Albert King, Paul Butterfield, Jimmy Reed, Sonny Terry and Charlie Musselwhite, who also has played the Breadline Cafe.
Jim W. Smith, who is drummer and vocalist, has played the drums since he was 10. His influences include the British Invasion and rock/blues from the 60's and 70's. He's played in several Seattle-based bands in the 1980's including Charlie Marinkovich Band (current guitarist with Iron Butterfly) and bassist Duff McKagan (Guns and Roses).
He moved to Entiat in 1991. He's since anchored rhythm section with True Blue and Shongo Bongo. He recently started the Rhythm King drum company that offers exotic hardwood drums and drum shells.
Jeff Paige, who is lead vocalist, rhythm guitar and harp player, grew up in San Diego and matured, musically, in the Seattle area. Paige, who currently lives in Manson, counts as inspiration Coco Montoya, Curtis Salgado and the Fabulous Thunderbirds as well as blues masters Albert King and B.B. King.
Joe Guimond, who is band leader, bassist, guitarist and vocalist, began playing paid gigs in 1966. His influences include various Motown bands of the 60's and 70's. He also got into the greasy, funky R&B music from the Detroit area, an area he's played as well as Chicago in the mid 70's.
He's also played or recorded with The Dramatics, The Floaters, David Ruffin, Brian Hyland, John Wilkinson (Elvis Presley TCB Band) and George Griffin.
