Too Slim and the Taildraggers return as a band.
Tim "Too Slim" Langford (guitar/vocals), Dave "Groove Master" Nordstrom (bass/vocals), and Rudy Simone (drums),are the masterminds behind Too Slim and the Taildraggers.
With their unique style of the blues, roots-rock, Americana, rockabilly & surf, they have been one of the Northwest's most sought after blues-rock bands for 20 years. The three-piece band hails from Seattle, Washington (originally from Spokane, Washington) where their devoted regional fan base has grown over the years into a national and international following.
Their commitment to touring and nine record releases are attributed to the band's growing demand. The trio has just released their most ambitious album to date entitled "The Fortune Teller" on the Burnside Distribution Corporation.
"The Fortune Teller," is an evolutionary album that borders on revolution, in the musical direction of Too Slim and the Taildraggers. This CD takes you on a musical ride, ranging from southern rock, funky blues rock, swamp rock, Americana, and acoustic folk styles.
Tim "Too Slim" Langford continues to develop his songwriting and storytelling on "The Fortune Teller."
Hal Horowitz's Music Review of "The Fortune Teller" stated ŇIf there's any justice, The Fortune Teller will put Too Slim and the Taildraggers on the map. Although generally lumped into the blues-rock arena, Too Slim and the Taidraggers fall into whatever category a combination of Tom Petty, Creedence, and ZZ Top would create. Perhaps swampy Americana is closer to the trio's sound, especially on this terrific album. On 'The Fortune Teller' Langford writes melodies and especially lyrics that show him to be an under the radar talent who has gone unnoticed for too long."
The bands live sets are legendary, featuring blazing guitar solos and astute slide work of Tim "Too Slim" Langford. His raw, high energy, yet smooth fretwork have often been compared to the late Lightnin' Hopkins, George Thorogood, and Johnny Winter.
